MA Pest Control
Boston Area TICK CONTROL
Ticks are tiny parasitic arachnids that feed on human and animal blood. They are responsible for spreading diseases such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Lyme disease, tick paralysis, etc. Ticks are potentially the deadliest among all arthropods because they can transmit the most significant number of disease-causing organisms.
Of course, not every tick carries diseases, but there is no way to tell if the ones in your home and yard have diseases or not. This makes exterminating ticks a top priority for anyone who wants to enjoy their time outdoors.
Keep your grass cut short year-round and your bushes and trees trimmed.
Clear out branches, leaves, and other debris from your yard
Avoid walking pets through wooded areas, tall grasses, and keep them from sticking their heads into bushes, underbrush, etc. Always check your pet for ticks after walks.
A mulch or wood chip barrier can deter ticks between your yard and any wooded areas.
Stack wood neatly in a dry area, far from your home if possible.
Take your pets for regular checkups at the vet, including tick and flea checks.

Fox Pest Control. No Bugs. Simply Better.
Ticks are arachnids, distantly related to spiders, and an external parasite. They have eight legs and suck the blood of a host. The tick must consume blood several times to grow from a new hatchling into adulthood.
Ticks are ectoparasites (or external parasites). This means that they latch onto the skin of their host and suck the host’s blood, and ticks only consume blood and nothing else during their lives.
Like fleas, ticks in the Boston area can cause a lot of problems for pets, but they can also come into your home. If veterinarian-approved tick treatments for your pet can’t keep the ticks out of your home, it’s time to call a tick control company. We know what it takes to root these pests out of their hiding places permanently.
Regular, preventative maintenance ensures that any tick eggs in your home are taken care of before they hatch into nymphs and begin to feed on you and your loved ones.
Yes, they can be very dangerous. Because they will latch onto a host and suck blood over a long period, ticks can transmit many diseases, including:
• Lyme disease
• Anaplasmosis
• Babesiosis
• Colorado tick fever
• Ehrlichiosis
• Powassan virus
• Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
• Rickettsiosis
• Tularemia
A small amount of swelling in the area near the bite for a few days doesn’t necessarily indicate Lyme disease. Many people experience a mild allergic reaction to a tick’s saliva, but the swelling should be gone within a few days. Nevertheless, if you have a tick infestation, let Fox Pest Control of Boston come to your house to help with tick removal.
If the swollen spot grows and swelling persists for a week or more, this could be an early sign of Lyme disease. Early treatment of Lyme could prevent its long-term effects. Talk to your doctor if you suspect you see early signs of Lyme disease. In the meantime, call Fox for the best tick extermination treatment.
Transmission of Lyme disease from ticks can take 24-48 hours in most cases, so you can avoid many of the conditions that ticks cause by checking for them regularly. If you do find you have an infestation, Fox will send a certified tick exterminator — in many cases, that same day. If a tick bites you and you’re worried about a potential infection, seek medical attention.

I know Ty from outside of Fox and he is an awesome guy. Very knowledgeable in the pest control industry and has been at it for a long time. We call him the PEST WIZARD at my house. Even with his great experience, last year he went to an expensive three day nationwide bed bug class taught out of state. I have never met anybody more dedicated to being sure their workers are giving the best service possible. Highly recommend. Would refer anybody to them. 10/10 stars. Always been very responsive to our calls and concerns.

Although I usually don’t write a customer feedback e-mail like this one, I’m compelled to write one about your employee, Amury who came out to hour house for the first service. I’ve never received such a comprehensive, courteous, professional service like what Amury provided to our house this afternoon. He went above and beyond our expectations and provided an absolutely fantastic service with great explanations to make us at ease with our pest control issues especially with mice problems. He was so patient and attentive to our pest complaints and provided A+ service to us. We’re so happy to have your employee, Amury, leave us with such a positive impression about your company and your service. Please give him a high employee rating for 2020.
