Boston Area Bed Bug Control
Do you think you have bed bugs in your Boston home? It isn’t easy to tell because they’re timid and usually nocturnal. The crimson tint of these apple seed-sized parasites will darken following a blood meal. Our expert technicians can find bed bugs hiding in cracks and holes in your home. Although they can go up to three months without feeding, they become more active when they have young. If they have bitten you, you will easily be able to tell. The tiny bites usually appear as red, itchy pimples in a row or small clumps.
Hives or blisters at the bite site are common symptoms. Bed bugs can swiftly migrate from one room to another and even into automobiles if they catch a ride on our clothing. It can be nearly impossible to kill bed bugs on your own, but at Fox Pest Control, we understand how to get rid of your bed bug infestation.
You may already know that you have a bed bug infestation, but here are some of the most typical indicators bed bug exterminators check for:
Bite Marks
Although bed bug bite marks are rarely visible, some patients get hives or blisters at the bite site.
Fecal Spots
Fecal spots are small, dark sand-like droppings found in areas surrounding and particularly beneath nests.
Blood Smears
You may notice mysterious blood smears on sheets and pillowcases.
Exoskeleton Shells
Empty molted shells are another sign of bed bugs.
Foul Odor
Their characteristic odor of rotting raspberries can help identify bed bugs.
Cover electrical power outlets as bed bugs use crevices and holes like these to hide.
When you travel, seal your clothing in vacuum-sealed bags. Bed bugs are frequently transported from hotel rooms back to residences.
Vacuum any carpets thoroughly. This is a common place for bed bugs to hide.
Clean pet beds frequently. Bed bugs are attracted to pet beds to lay eggs and hide in because of their warmth and crevices.
Do laundry regularly. Regularly washing and drying bedding, clothing, hampers, laundry baskets, and anything else that touches the floor can help stop the spread.

Fox Pest Control. No Bugs. Simply Better.
Full-size bed bugs are flat, oval-shaped, and reddish-brown. Mature adults grow to be 4-5mm in length and 1.5-3mm wide, and their size is comparable to an apple seed. Their bodies are segmented with tiny hairs that give them a banded look. They lack hind wings, and their front wings are suppressed and reduced to flat pad-like structures.
Newly hatched bed bugs are called nymphs. They are translucent or light tan, gradually becoming darker as they grow and becoming the same reddish-brown color of adults.
Adult bed bugs change to a brighter translucent red after feeding, fading to brown after a few hours. As they digest their meal over the next two days, their bodies change to an opaque black.
Yes, bed bugs do bite, and the surrounding area will become red, irritated, and itchy, with bumps soon appearing. These bumps usually form in a line or cluster, and some residents report hives and blistering.
If a bed bug bites you, don’t panic. Their bites are irritating and itchy, but bed bugs don’t transmit diseases like ticks or mosquitoes.
Bed bugs don’t cause structural damage like carpenter bees or termites because they feed on blood. But a bed bug infestation can negatively impact property value as they are notoriously difficult to eliminate without professional intervention. Contact the professionals at Fox Pest Control at the first sign of these pests.
Fox Pest Control’s two-step strategy is the most effective way to treat a bed bug infestation. First, our technician will identify your Boston home’s high traffic bed bug areas. Then we’ll treat those areas and the remaining spaces with a safe, efficient insecticide. Additional insecticide dust is applied to electrical outlets and other typical bed bug hiding places. One week later, this process is repeated to ensure bed bugs are gone permanently.
From the first you have explained everything and brought to our attention what need to be looked at and took care of them. I is a pleasure to set out side and not have black ants everywhere. Thank you

I contracted Fox Pest Control due to an ongoing ant problem and they were fantastic. The technician, Jonathan Bryant, who came out a second time after the initial assessment which consisted of an indoor and outdoor service call returned to my home and focused on my deck which was ground zero and the entry point of the ants accessing my home. He was extremely polite, professional, and did a wonderful job in explaining what he was going to do to resolve the issue. His extensive experience proved to be true when what he predicted came true as after spraying for the ants on both the surface and foundation of my deck the ants appeared as Jonathan used a special dust which killed them instantly. Now my family can enjoy our deck and the final month of summer without these annoying and disgusting ants! I highly recommend Fox and especially Johnathan!!! Fox is very aware of Covid-19 and takes pride in social distancing as their employees wear masks and are extremely friendly. Follow up and customer service is excellent. They focus on the customer. Very professional. Signed up with the company for the preventative plan and the mosquito treatment. Our technician was Dalton Hanks and he was great to work with. He went through the house and asked about concerns we may have and explained everything he would be doing. We are very happy that we signed up with this company and look forward to no future issues and no mosquitoes, ants, bugs or rodents!
